About Us

Lifecentre Salford works alongside local people for community transformation.

We are a Christian charity which started in Salford in 2000. Our faith motivates us to love others and work for justice in our community. Since 2000 we have been working with children, young people and their families to see transformation in our city for everyone.

We believe in empowering our community, listening, supporting and holding hope. All of our projects come from the ideas of local people, and are delivered as a community. The majority of our team and volunteers live within a square mile of our building on Langworthy Road, we are proud of Salford, committed for the long term and believe we do things better together.

trustees

We have a group of trustees who keep the Lifecentre accountable and give our organisation strategic direction. Our board of trustees includes a range of skills in addition to local people who are part of the Lifecentre community.

The Lifecentre is a member of Salford Food Share Network, through which it works in co-operation with food crisis organisations across the city. It leads on the development of work around combating school holiday hunger. Together, the members of the Food Share Network are working hard to make sure that nobody in Salford will go to bed hungry.

Tom Togher, Chief Officer of Salford Citizens Advice

The Lifecentre provides our families and children with a crucial 'hand of help' during term time and holidays. They provide invaluable information to our parents and fun opportunities and activities for our children. We are happy to support all that the Lifecentre does and thank them for all the hard work they show to our community

support our work

The Lifecentre exists through the generosity of people like you who give to us on a one off and monthly basis.

All of that money directly supports our work here in Salford to purchase food and resources, train and supervise volunteers, staff and pay for our building. If you would like to support us please use the button below, anything you can give is greatly appreciated.

Volunteer

Our volunteers are the heart of every project we have in our community. Do you enjoy spending time with children and young people or helping other adults? We need people who can chat, lead sports and creative activities, make toast, hear children read, support children's aspirations and be a voice of encouragement to those who are struggling.
