The Lifecentre began in 2000 meeting the needs of a range of young people who needed a place away from the streets to hang out. Local Christians living in the area spent time developing the Lifecentre as a safe, loving and empowering place for young people to grow and develop.

“Now the Lifecentre is a hub for community activities developed with local people in response to local needs.”

We have a wide range of projects from women’s running club to Monday night youth, Nurture Breakfast Group to Salford Food Parcels where we look to support community transformation in our local area. Inspired by our Christian faith all our work holds to the values of promoting love, peace, goodness, unity and honesty, and we are transparent about our projects which communicate the Christian faith to the community. The vast majority of our projects are delivered by local community volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds who agree with us that Salford is a great place to live, and want to make it even better, together.
