Children are in school with a free meal 190 days of the year and on holiday 170 days a year. The impact of holiday hunger on attainment and wellbeing is significant (Kelloggs, 2016).

Lifecentre coordinates a programme of holiday clubs with quality food, fun and sports activity across the city of Salford to combat holiday hunger. We are the lead partner from Salford FoodShare Network for holiday hunger issues.

Our brilliant holiday clubs support Primary school aged children and their families alongside local volunteers and our fantastic partners Citywide Catering Services, Salford Community Leisure, Rio Ferdinand Foundation, Cadishead Rhinos, Kelloggs, NHS CCG Salford, Greggs and a range of brilliant local schools and community groups.

Holiday Clubs sessions run 3 days a week in Salford school holidays for 2 hours over lunchtimes, please call us on 0161 736 7644 for more information and how to refer to the project.
